Homework for Wednesday August 28th
Homework for Thursday September 5th.
Review the following vocabulary words
Probability- The likelihood of something happening
Sample Space-
Theoretical Probability
Law of large numbers
Mutually Exclusive
Independent Probability
Dependent probability

Our first major test will consist of all the material that we have covered thus far. Topics are as followed.
Unit 1 (probability)
Permutations
Combinations
Sample Space
Theoretical Probability
Law of large numbers
Mutually Exclusive
Independent Probability
Dependent Probability
Expected Value
Unit 2 (univariate data)
Histograms
- Calculating bin sizes with frequency and probability
- plotting bars on an axis and evaluating information from it
Normal Distribution curve
Box and whisker plot
Calculating Standard Deviation (by hand and with calculator)
Summation ( by hand and with calculator)
Basics of binomial Theorem
Pascals triangle
Don't forget about the in class projects that we investigated: Lottery game (power ball), Insurance problem, and Lorax (specifically identifying which tree was the best tree to harvest), and baseball player statistics. Also a few of the logic warm ups that we started our day with this week will be on the test!
